Country rock, with the fire of the Rolling Stones, the heart of Merle Haggard, Broken Circuit puts their own spin on classic country songs. Formed in 2011 the band was made up of a couple of rock influenced members and a couple of members brought up on country and bluegrass roots. When you combine the two genres together something magical happens. Founding member Matt Millett’s music career has taken him from Toronto to Nashville, Calgary to Vancouver for a number of years before moving back home to his native Nova Scotia. Pat McMullin the drummer of the band has been playing in bands since his teenage years and has shared the stage with Matt Millett in other bands over the years opening up for the likes of Dr. Hook and Melanie Morgan just to name a few. Lee Millett the young buck of the group brings his taste of bluegrass along with his versatility in the instruments he can play. Lee fits in where he is needed, whether it be lead guitar, bass or acoustic. The newest member of the band is Matt Lunn, a local and well known luthier, is well versed in 50’s and 60’s rock and bluegrass and it shows in some of the songs they do. So sit back, relax and enjoy the musical ride these guys will take you on.
